Bogi Lateiner and Donny Seyfer to demonstrate MAHLE TechPro at NACE/CARS in Detroit
MAHLE Service Solutions will hold demonstrations for its TechPro diagnostic scan tool during NACE/CARS 2015 in Detroit. The demonstrations will be conducted by leading technicians, Bogi Lateiner and Donny Seyfer at the MAHLE Service Solutions booth #1131 on Thursday, July 23 at 2 PM and 5:15 PM, and on Saturday, July 25 at 10 AM.
Bogi, an ASE-certified technician, stars on the Velocity Channel’s “All Girls Garage.” She is the founder and owner of 180 Degrees Automotive – a full-service auto repair shop in central Phoenix. Seyfer is the second-generation owner of a repair shop in Wheat Ridge, Colo. and is an ASE master mechanic with more than 30 years of experience.
During NACE/ CARS MAHLE will display the MAHLE Service Solutions TechPRO® diagnostic scan tool. TechPRO® is a new generation tool based on what professional technicians asked for: speed in diagnostics, low cost of entry, and a standardized and easy user interface.
This laptop or tablet-enabled device features the ability to decode a vehicle identification number (VIN) in one second with one click. Speed of diagnosis is measured in seconds versus minutes for competitors’ tools.
The new device was engineered so the vehicle communication interface (VCI) and software can be used with a technician’s current desktop, laptop or tablet, making it unnecessary to buy or lease extra hardware. In addition, regular vehicle data and software updates are downloaded automatically and seamlessly via the Internet. With decades of providing diagnostics to OEM’s end-of-line manufacturing test systems, MAHLE Service Solutions now brings this speed and stability to an aftermarket scan tool for the first time.
In addition to showcasing TechPro, MAHLE Service Solutions will feature its ArcticPRO ACX1280 A/C machine that efficiently processes the new R1234yf refrigerant. Since its introduction last year, the ACX1280 has received positive customer feedback for its fully automatic features that make for easy, time-saving, and precise service for air conditioning systems in vehicles that use R1234yf refrigerant. Several global automotive vehicle manufacturers have chosen to equip their dealerships with the ACX1280 as an essential service tool.
MAHLE Service Solutions is a sponsor of the CARS Young Technician Program’s Friday, July 24 outing to Detroit’s historic Greektown. The Young Technician Program is limited to 30 attendees and is designed to help young technicians make the jump from general repair to diagnostic work.
Held July 21-25, 2015 at Detroit’s Cobo Center, International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) – the world’s collision repair event – represents the only B2B event of its kind specifically designed for collision repair industry professionals from around the globe.
