NEXIQ Technologies released its handheld scan tool for both heavy, medium and light duty truck diagnostics—the Pocket HD.
The tool comes preloaded with two NEXIQ software applications, LMT 2016 (for light and medium duty trucks) and the Heavy Duty Standard & OBD II Suite (which supports both J1708 and J1939 communication).
Additional Pocket HD software applications are also available for purchase separately. These include the ABS Software Suite, providing support for Bendix ABS systems, as well as support for tractor and trailer brake systems from Meritor WABCO, Wabash National, Eaton and Haldex. The NEXIQ “All Makes” DPF Regen application (HD/LMT DPF Regen) is also available, giving technicians the ability to run the essential diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration procedure for a wide range of manufacturers.
The Pocket HD is both versatile and reliable, according to the company. This tool is ideal for aftermarket diesel technicians, fleet technicians, OEM Dealers (i.e., PM Techs), Owner/Operators and maintenance facilities (non-repair). And, it is the "perfect" handheld for use in roadside, triage situations.
