Bosch releases off-highway diagnostic kit

The cable and software package work with ESI[truck] HD diagnostic tools to provide coverage of construction equipment, street sweepers, agricultural vehicles and stationary engines.

Bosch has introduced an off-highway diagnostic cable and introductory software package in North America for the 3824 and 3824BSC ESI[truck] HD diagnostic tools, enabling technicians to diagnose and repair many non-highway vehicles. Coverage included with the new kit can help diagnose construction equipment, street sweepers, agricultural vehicles and stationary engines.

The cable and introductory software kit are available through tool dealers and distributors.  

The kit, 3824CBL-UPG, provides 3824 and 3824BSC owners with a set of cables and introductory software for off-highway vehicles. The kit includes 10 cables for use on: Caterpillar, John Deere, Kubota, Perkins, Volvo, Massey Ferguson, SISU, Deutz, Deutz-Fahr and MTU applications.

Repair information and diagnostic capabilities cover vehicles and systems with a variety of information, specific to vehicle type and manufacturer, and include:

  • System coverage: Gearbox, HVAC, engine, steering, hydraulic systems, suspension, electronic modules, antipollution, central computer and more
  • Diagnostic coverage: Manual processes, diagnosis info, measurable values, component actuations, ECU data, parameter IDs (PIDs), calibrations and resets, system technical data, wiring diagrams, vehicle technical data and vehicle maintenance info

Prior to the expiration of introductory off-highway software, shop owners and technicians can renew off-highway coverage subscriptions through Bosch with part number 3824-08OHW, also available Q1 2019.

System coverage and vehicle data available is unique to each vehicle and dependent on the availability of information from each manufacturer. Software and kit contents are available at www.BoschDiagnostics.com/Pro/OHW.
