Connected Automotive Systems (CAS) announced that E-ZDS, the software developer for G-scan, has recently released the next scheduled major software update for the G-scan Diagnostic Scanner. With this latest release, the G-scan series of tools (G-scan3, G-scan2, and G-scanTAB) added thirty three additional carline software updates, including developments for domestic passenger cars, import vehicles, light trucks, vans, and commercial vehicles. Additionally, customers using G-scan3 will be able to view on-tool videos providing guidance for multiple procedures.
“E-ZDS and GIT continue to add some really great features to the G-scan tool line up. The remote support function has been updated for an almost instantaneous response between tool and remote terminal. ADAS tips and videos are great to see on-screen with the Android based G-scan3 while the overall vehicle coverages for both diagnostics and ADAS have continued to expand for all three G-scan tools,” said John Jenkins, president, CAS.
Also made available is a two-minute highlights video, as well as a ninety page ‘What’s New’ PDF file for downloading from the CAS website. The document provides a detailed listing of all recently added coverage and special functions. The video is a high-level overview of the updates. See the latest ‘What’s New May 2020’ document on the ‘Multi-Line scanners’ page.
Customers under a current subscription are encouraged to update their G-scan immediately to take advantage of the latest additions and enhancements.
