The latest update for ALLDATA’s scan tool now supports direct access to the Secure Gateway (SGW) module by FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) U.S.

FCA implemented the SGW for some 2018/2019 models and all vehicles model-year 2020 and beyond to protect the vehicle’s communication network. ALLDATA customers are now able to access the secure FCA vehicle network using AutoAuth – FCA’s approved authentication provider – and perform essential diagnostic functions.

“Our customers rely on complete and timely information to diagnose vehicles and perform safe and accurate repairs,” said Satwinder Mangat, president, ALLDATA. “We are very pleased to provide approved and seamless access to available diagnostic functions for the latest FIAT Chrysler vehicles.”

ALLDATA Diagnostics turns a tablet into a professional-level scan tool with ALLDATA built-in. Codes link directly to relevant OEM articles and probable causes, which is designed to save technicians time. It is a diagnostic scan tool with unlimited scans, upfront equipment costs, and software and data updates included at no additional charge. In addition to approved FCA SGW access, the latest version features a more streamlined navigation for faster diagnostics. It also features live data display improvements and has an automatic online/offline mode, which connects and disconnects to the Internet, within Wi-Fi range, and enables users to view the connection status at all times.

The ALLDATA Diagnostics scan tool solution requires a subscription to ALLDATA Repair or ALLDATA Collision.
