FRAM Filtration has announced a successful conclusion to the 2013 cross-country tour that saw a new mobile education unit from FRAM® crisscross the nation, traveling more than 10,000 miles to visit popular automotive enthusiast events, training centers and retail locations. The mobile education unit was introduced by FRAM® and Prestone® in 2013 as a new means of cultivating meaningful relationships with individuals who care deeply about the maintenance and performance of their vehicles.
Equipped with interactive displays explaining oil and air filtration, touch-screen TVs with 3D renderings of the filters, and cutaways of FRAM’s products, the mobile unit emerged as a valuable training tool.
“We brought filtration education and information about FRAM’s products to the front lines,” said Josh Gordon, marketing director for FRAM Filtration. “Interacting with FRAM customers, commercial garages and shop owners, technicians, trainers, and car enthusiasts in their natural environment – whether that was a Walmart parking lot or at an event like the Hot Rod Power Tour – enabled us to connect in new and meaningful ways.”
2013 stops for the FRAM mobile education unit included Walmart customer events and visits to AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts stores. After debuting at the seven-day Hot Rod Power Tour, FRAM took the mobile education unit to popular automotive events including Car Craft Summer Nationals, the Woodward Dream Cruise, NOPI Nationals and O’Reilly Street Machine Nationals.
The FRAM mobile education unit includes a sprinter van equipped with video screens for easily accessible on-site training and a 24-foot branded trailer that houses FRAM’s product and filtration displays. FRAM’s air filter display uses a hands-on model to illustrate how an air filter helps eliminate dirt and dust particles from a vehicle’s air flow, and the FRAM oil filter display uses fiber optics to trace the path of oil through an engine and filter. Each display also features examples of FRAM’s oil and air filter products.
2014 events for the FRAM mobile education unit will be announced in the coming months. For regular updates on FRAM mobile education unit appearances, visit FRAM on Facebook at facebook.com/framfiltration or follow FRAM on Twitter at @FRAM_Filters.
