Snap-on acquires Pro-Cut International for $42M cash

Snap-on Inc. announced it has purchased the automotive brake repair equipment manufacturer Pro-Cut International Inc.

Snap-on Inc. said it has bought Pro-Cut International Inc., a manufacturer of automotive brake-repair equipment, for $42 million in cash.

Pro-Cut, based in West Lebanon, N.H., had sales of $24 million last year. The company makes lathes used by car mechanics to turn brake rotors and machine them so the surface is even.

Kenosha-based Snap-on manufactures and markets tools, equipment and diagnostic devices for vehicle-repair operations and for customers in such industries as aviation, agriculture and construction. The company earned $360 million last year on sales of $3.06 billion.
