Updating Acura PCM Software

This bulletin applies to 2017 Acura MDX and 2014-2016 MDX (except Sport Hybrid); 2015-2018 TLX V6; 2014-2017 RLX, and 2014-2017 RLX Sport Hybrid vehicles.

This bulletin applies to 2017 Acura MDX and 2014-2016 MDX (except Sport Hybrid); 2015-2018 TLX V6; 2014-2017 RLX, and 2014-2017 RLX Sport Hybrid vehicles.

The MIL may be on with DTC P0430 (front bank catalyst system efficiency below threshold, Bank 2). The probable cause: the PCM software may misinterpret sensor inputs as a deteriorated catalytic converter.

Update the PGM-FI software and confirm the 9AT software. Use i-HDS software version 1.004.005 or later. PC application version 1.1.0.2 or later. Before beginning the repair, make sure that both the i-HDS and J2534 software are updated.
