Removing Cadillac hardware with hand tools

GM says that damage to the wheel drive shaft threads on 2021-2024 Cadillac XT5 and XT6 AWD vehicles has been seen in warranty claims due to the use of power tools to remove the wheel drive shaft nut.

GM says that damage to the wheel drive shaft threads on 2021-2024 Cadillac XT5 and XT6 AWD vehicles has been seen in warranty claims due to the use of power tools to remove the wheel drive shaft nut.

Power tools must never be used to remove this hardware. Use hand tools only.
