Repairing Chevy Silverado ground straps

This bulletin applies to 2019-2022 Chevy Silverado vehicles. Customers may experience a MIL on, loss of power steering assist and loss of power brake assist.

Inspect G132 (1) and G133 (4) for high resistance.

This bulletin applies to 2019-2022 Chevy Silverado vehicles. Customers may experience a MIL on, loss of power steering assist and loss of power brake assist.

One or more of the following DTCs may be set: B127B, B1325, B3205, C116C, C1595, P25A2, U0420 and/or U0422. This condition may be caused by high resistance in the G132 and G133 grounds, located behind the RH wheelhouse liner.

Inspect these grounds and repair the ground straps as needed. If replacement is needed, the engine to body ground strap is P/N 84827778. The frame-to-body ground strap is P/N 84498265.
