Mending Mini Cooper software error

This bulletin applies to 2017-2019 Mini Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 vehicles produced from March 3, 2017, to March 1, 2019.

This bulletin applies to 2017-2019 Mini Cooper SE Countryman ALL4 vehicles produced from March 3, 2017, to March 1, 2019. One or both of the following DTCs may be stored in the Electrical Machine Electronics (EME) memory:

2233B5 (electrical machine clutch, actuator: overload current)

222DE3 (electrical machine clutch, actuator: overload current)

Note: These fault codes do not affect drivability or performance. The cause is a software error in the EME control unit.

Check the current programming I-level of the vehicle. Is the I-level 18-07-531 or newer? If yes, the fault entry can be ignored. If no, reprogram the vehicle with I-level 18-07-531 or newer.
