Replacing BMW stabilizer link

This bulletin applies to 2020 BMW X2 Sports Activity Group, 2 Series Gran Coupe and X1 Sports Activity Vehicle models.

During load reversal or taking off from a stop, a creaking or droning noise may be heard from the lower engine area. The bushing in the lower engine stabilizer link is likely working its way out of its aluminum housing. The aluminum housing starts to rub against the engine oil pan.

If this is confirmed, replace the stabilizer link. Note: the replacement stabilizer link needs to be Index 02 or higher (see the last two numbers on the part label).
