This bulletin applies to 2019-2024 Chevy Blazer and 2018-2023 Traverse vehicles. A rattle or clunk noise may be heard coming from the front of the vehicle. The concern can often be duplicated by driving over bumps or making turning maneuvers. While it may sound like a strut, control arm or anti-sway bar concern, the cause may be the cradle brace mounting. The cradle brace may be loose, mis-positioned or improperly torqued. The cradle brace is a flat bar that attaches across the cradle with a bolt at each end.

Remove the cradle brace and drive the vehicle under conditions that would duplicate the noise. If the noise is gone with the brace removed, reinstall the brace and torque to specification.

Note: Simply torquing the brace mounting bolts may not resolve the concern, The brace must be removed, reinstalled and torqued.
