Correcting Ford HEV software

Some 2020 Ford Escape hybrid electric (HEV) vehicles built on or before Feb. 19, 2020, may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0128 stored in the PCM.

Some 2020 Ford Escape hybrid electric (HEV) vehicles built on or before Feb. 19, 2020, may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P0128 stored in the PCM and/or have a rough, bumpy drivability concern during low speed braking at less than 15 mph. This may be due to software within the PCM. To correct, reprogram the PCM with the latest software version.
