Troubleshooting Honda seat weight sensor

You may find DTC U3000-49 (internal failure of the SRS unit). There are several possible causes for this DTC. If you can duplicate the DTC, troubleshooting will take you through the step-by-step process in isolating the faulty component. In most cases, the SRS unit should be the last on the list of components to replace.

Here is a quick tip for troubleshooting a faulty seat weight sensor: Disconnect all of the seat weight sensors and clear DTCs. If DTC U 3000-49 does not reappear, then replace the seat frame/rail. If you are using a seat frame from a known good vehicle, always find a vehicle with the same trim level. Swapping seat frames with different trim levels may result in the same DTC condition and cause confusion.
