This bulletin applies to 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles built on or after March 26, 2021, and on or before July 22, 2021, equipped with Quadra-Lift air suspension.
The MIL may be on, accompanied by DTCs C15A1-00 (unable to obtain desired ride height), C15A2-00 (ride height system un-level), and or C15D9-00 (low air mass).
Concerns may include slow changes in ride heights (normally takes about 22 seconds), ride height will not adjust and times out, uneven rear suspension, and/or air suspension inoperable.
1. Disable the air suspension before raising the vehicle on a hoist. The system may be disabled by using the display screen mode (DSM) in the vehicles under Tire Jack Mode. If the disable level control routine in the diagnostic scan tool is used, it will only disable the level control for that ignition cycle. The system can also be enabled by driving the vehicle above five mph.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Inspect both rear air springs for outer boot damage or deformities.
4. If damage/deformity is found, replace both rear air springs.
5. Lower the vehicle and enable the air suspension system.
