IHS Automotive names Steve Had to newly created VP role

IHS Automotive has named Steve Had as vice president – automotive marketing and customer management solutions.

IHS Automotive, a leading global source of information and insight to the global automotive industry, has named Steve Had as vice president – automotive marketing and customer management solutions.

Had will lead the team responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communications tools and services for IHS Automotive OEM sales and marketing teams, agencies, dealers and parts and services teams. Specific product responsibilities include multi-channel marketing solutions, PolkConnect and recall solutions.

 A highly accomplished auto industry marketing strategist, Had joins IHS Automotive from Nielsen Global Automotive, where he was most recently senior vice president. While there, he provided advertising, product placement and cross-platform media consulting expertise in the global automotive sector subsequent to Nielsen’s acquisition of IAG Research. In addition, he advised executives and managers at a variety of levels on new campaigns, competitive initiatives and strategic response for optimization and market leadership.

Prior to his work at Nielsen, Had spent 12 years at Ford Motor Company in a variety of roles in product planning, operations, marketing and finance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in physics and economics from Wake Forest University and an MBA in marketing and finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is based in the IHS Automotive Southfield, Mich. office.
